The TzHaar City
Mor Ul Rek is the primary settlement of the TzHaar race. It’s a sprawling underground city filled with lava, lava pools, and various TzHaar creatures.
Gear Setup
Requirements:
To access the TzHaar city of Mor Ul Rek, you need to complete the “Inferno” miniquest as part of the “TzHaar Fight Cave” activity.
Recommended Gear:
- Melee Equipment: For the most part, TzHaar are vulnerable to melee attacks. Gear up with strong melee equipment, such as a whip or a scythe. Consider bringing Bandos armor or Barrows gear for additional protection.
- Cape: The Infernal Cape (from defeating TzKal-Zuk in the Inferno) is highly recommended for its combat bonuses.
- Prayer Gear: While some TzHaar are vulnerable to melee, others are weak to Magic or Ranged. Bringing gear for different attack styles can be helpful.
- Food: High-healing food like sharks or Saradomin brews is essential for sustaining your health.
- TzHaar-Ket Weapons: You can purchase TzHaar-Ket weapons (maces, mauls, and swords) from the Mor Ul Rek city to maximize your damage against TzHaar creatures.
Location:
The TzHaar city of Mor Ul Rek is located in the Karamja volcano. You can access it via the Karamja Volcano teleport (requires the completion of the “Fairy Tale II – Cure a Queen” quest) or by using a charged Amulet of Glory to Karamja and traveling through the Karamja Volcano.
Combat Strategy:
- In the city, you’ll encounter various types of TzHaar, each with different combat weaknesses. For example, TzHaar-Xil are weak to Magic, while TzHaar-Ket and TzHaar-Xil are weak to Ranged.
- It’s a good idea to have multiple combat styles ready to deal with different TzHaar types.
- Some TzHaar have special attacks. For instance, the TzHaar-Ket have a powerful melee attack that can hit hard, so be prepared to switch to Protect from Melee.
- Keep an eye on your health and prayer points, and use the nearby pools for healing and prayer restoration.
- The TzHaar city is also home to the TzHaar Fight Cave, where you can take on the TzHaar Fight Caves activity for a chance to earn the powerful Fire Cape.
Drops and Rewards:
- TzHaar have a variety of valuable drops, including TzHaar-Ket weapons, Obsidian armor, and the sought-after Obsidian cape.
- They also drop the highly coveted TzHaar-Ket and TzHaar-Xil-Ket and TzHaar-Xil-Ket pieces, which can be used to create the Infernal Cape, the best-in-slot cape in OSRS.
The TzHaar city of Mor Ul Rek is a great place for both training combat and earning valuable loot. The combination of high Hitpoints and good drops makes it a favourite location for many OSRS players.
