In the vibrant and ever-evolving world of OSRS, players have the opportunity to embark on a variety of adventures and challenges. One such challenge that tests both your agility and determination is the Gnome Stronghold Agility Course. This course, nestled within the tree-filled Gnome Stronghold, offers players a chance to level up their Agility skill while enjoying the scenic beauty of the gnome city.
A Glimpse into the Gnome Stronghold
Before diving into the agility course itself, let’s briefly explore the Gnome Stronghold. Situated within the vast tree canopy of the Tree Gnome Stronghold, this area is home to the gnome race and is known for its lush greenery and unique architecture. The Gnome Stronghold is accessible via various means, but players often find themselves here through the Tree Gnome Village quest, which requires navigating the maze-like forest.
The Origins of Agility Training
Agility is a skill in OSRS that involves traversing obstacles and navigating challenging courses to improve your mobility and stamina. The Gnome Stronghold Agility Course was introduced to the game as part of the Agility skill update in December 2002. Since then, it has been a staple destination for players looking to train their Agility skill efficiently.
Course Layout and Obstacles
The Gnome Stronghold Agility Course consists of several obstacles, each offering varying amounts of experience points (XP) upon successful completion. Players must navigate through the following stages:
- Log Balance: At the start of the course, players must walk across a long log. This obstacle offers 7 XP.
- Net Climb: The next challenge involves climbing a net. Completing this obstacle awards 7.5 XP.
- Branch Swing: After the net climb, players must swing across a gap using a tree branch. This awards 7.5 XP.
- Balancing Rope: A narrow rope bridge comes next, where players must carefully walk across to earn 7.5 XP.
- Tree Branch: Another tree branch comes after the rope bridge, offering 5.5 XP.
- Obstacle Pipe: The final obstacle involves crawling through a pipe, which provides 7.5 XP.
Upon successfully completing the entire course, players receive a bonus experience of 39.5 XP. It’s worth noting that the Gnome Stronghold Agility Course requires an Agility level of 1 to access and is a viable training method for players with levels up to 85.
